We spent two wonderful nights at Thayers Inn in Littleton, and the experience was truly unforgettable. Dating back to 1846, this charming hotel feels like a step back in time—in the best way possible. It's full of character, history, and warmth, offering a unique and peaceful atmosphere that’s hard to find these days. The location is absolutely magical—right next to the river, with beautiful views from several terraces that guests can freely access. Despite being right in the heart of town, just steps away from restaurants, shops, and other attractions, the hotel remains calm and relaxing. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Each morning, we enjoyed a generous complimentary breakfast with a wide variety of delicious options—high-quality cookies, cakes, brownies, yogurt, orange juice, coffee, and more. It was the perfect start to each day. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and warm—they truly made us feel welcome. We are already looking forward to returning to this magical place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a charming, historic stay in the heart of an absolutely adorable town.

Pleasant stay. No frills, but comfortable and sufficiently clean. Staff was very friendly. Great location right in the center of town. Two minute walk to Schilling, a great brewery/restaurant. 15 minutes to Cannon Mt. Ski Resort. Very easy access to and from Rt. 93. Hotel is old (from the 1800's) but this seemed charming to us & it is in good repair. Floor in our room was a bit warped, but again, seemed historically charming to us. Names of famous people who have stayed at hotel on various plaques around the place were also of interest. Price was right - would definitely return.

The staff is so courteous and helpful. The location is perfect and the views are absolutely breathtaking. The locals are one-of-a-kind and treat you like you belong. There is a very intriguing history that goes with the Thayer’s Inn. I encourage anyone that enjoys art, history, good food, breathtaking views and helpful people to stay here at least once!

I was traveling on a bike. It was pouring down rain I was soaked from riding in the rain. It was 9:00 o'clock at night, they were closing and they welcomed me with open arms. The staff was excellent. The room was excellent. It was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it. Great little town.

Penny

Excellent location. Charming old hotel. Rooms were very clean. Since heating is old the hotel provides a nice plug in heater that works great. Dinner juicy down the street is your best option for food. DELICIOUS old fashioned authentic American fare.
